Manners when reading the Quran

Purify yourself: Before handling the Quran, ensure that you have performed ablution (wudu) or taken a bath (ghusl) if necessary, to attain a state of physical cleanliness.

Start with seeking refuge: Begin reading the Quran by reciting the Basmala (“Bismillah hir-Rahman ir-Rahim”) and seeking refuge in Allah from Satan (“A’udhu billahi minash-Shaitanir-Rajeem”).

Do Not Talk During Quran Recitation.: When you’re reciting the Holy Quran, it’s essential to avoid talking to others. Find a quiet place where you can be free from distractions and focus solely on your recitation.

Follow Tajweed rules: It is recommended to follow the rules of Tajweed when reciting the Quran. Tajweed refers to the correct pronunciation, intonation, and articulation of the Arabic letters and words.

Recite at a Slow Pace: It is beneficial to recite the Quran at a slow pace. By reciting slowly, you can give proper attention to each word and verse, allowing for better understanding and reflection on the meanings.
